What Members Have to Say...
Robotics is the first club I joined at Bio-Med, because it was something comfortable since I was one of the founding members of the robotics team at my previous school. I figured out soon enough that this team had a lack of females, lucky for me I liked it better that way. I took charge almost immediately, and joined the competition side of robotics club. After the majority of the team withered away due to other priorities, I still loved going to robotics. It was one of the only places where the weight on my shoulders went away if only for an hour. Soon the competition came and we tied for third place at the tournament and won judges award! The experience was amazing even through the ups and down. I ended up writing an essay about the experience (Robotics Essay (Its all my fault). My time in robotics club shows many things, including the theme progress, the student attribute, personal agency. Robotics made me progress as a person. I learned leadership qualities (the good and bad), time management skills, the design process, and the hard but valuable lesson of failure. Personal agency ties into what I have already said. Robotics gave me a reasonability, not only was I there for myself, but for my team. I had a job to do and the other members of my team were counting on me to do it. Written By Taylor Clayton
